What is the AKZ?

The Arbeitskreis Zwergcichliden (AKZ) is a supra-regionally oriented association of aquarists, which is committed to the preservation, breeding and distribution of the small cichlid genera and their species.

What does the AKZ offer?

The association’s internal information magazine “AKZ-News” is published twice a year. It contains technical articles, field reports, photos, drawings, practical tips and club news.

The registration of the herd, the animals maintained by members, is updated several times a year and sent with the breeder list (only for participating members).

Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the AKZ enables all members to exchange experiences with relatives and guests and to enjoy a rich program. Slide presentations by well-known speakers, an exhibition with dwarf cichlids, workshops and an entertaining supporting programme.

Regional Group Meetings

In regional group meetings the friends of dwarf cichlids get together for meetings with lectures and exchange of experiences. Also often visits of breeders are on the program.
